Let me tell ya, I am a chameleon when it comes to hair color.
My hair can go from one extreme to another. I’m a natural brunette ( like very dark brown ) but I love the look of being lighter. Platinum was a challenge to get to but once I was there, it was just not love. lol
My last experiment was taking once bleached, then colored, then highlighted just a tad more dramatic. I now have a lovely medium ash blonde with a few light blonde highlights. This will make it easier for me to blend in the rapidly growing in grays. * yikes it happens. lol
Yes, you guessed it, this last round of dyeing fun took a bit of a toll on the tresses. My ends were well, a bit mushy when wet. This was even with me using Olaplaex in with the color.
It was time for some very deep conditioning. Out comes my secret weapon. Coconut Oil is your BFF.
Before bed, I like to apply enough coconut oil to saturate the hair, put it up and sleep. ( a towel on the pillow is a good idea here ) In the morning, I wash twice and apply my favorite conditioner and it makes a huge difference.
Since I’m now growing out a pixie cut, I believe that it is time to lighten up on the torture that I put my hair through. I’ll keep you posted on the hair growth.
Here are some of my other fave hair products.
